Wexner Heritage Village in Columbus celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut April 26 with activities, including Mimi Brodsky-Chenfeld’s Israeli dancing group, music by Paul Weiss, Israeli food including falafel pita’s with homemade hummus and halvah by chef Kayla Kopp.

Campus residents and staff danced, sang “Hatikvah,” learned about Israel and heard a story with Rabbi Alvin Mars.

The seniors reminisced about where they were when news broke about Israel being declared a state, including dancing in the streets.
