Jeanne Mickler Moser, 99 died on Dec. 26, 2020.
Jeanne was the daughter of Harry and Anne Office Mickler and was born in Springfield, Ohio, in 1921 and grew up in Piqua, Ohio, until they moved to Columbus in 1938 when she started her senior year at Bexley High School. She met her beloved Asher when she joined the Temple Israel youth group in her senior year at Bexley High School.
Jeanne graduated from The Ohio State University, with a business degree, where she was a member of Sigma Delta Tau, business manager of the 1941 and 1942 Makio, member of Swan Club, and inducted into Chimes.
Jeanne had one brother, Alan who passed away in May 1980. Jeanne married Asher on July 30, 1944, and were married for almost 66 years. They have two children-Barbara (Myron) Nollman and Tom (Karen) Moser. Jeanne had four grandsons Jordan (Larissa) Nollman, Adam Nollman (deceased), Josh Moser, and Max Moser; and two great-granddaughters, Maya and Ava Nollman.
Jeanne was active in the Temple sisterhood for over 40 years, serving on its executive committee and board. Jeanne was on the district board of sisterhood and the national board of Women of Reform Judaism. In 1993, the new Members Class at Temple Israel honored Jeanne and Asher Moser for their more than 50 years of love and commitment to the Temple. Jeanne taught religious school for 12 years and served as a Temple guide. She and Asher organized the adult education programs on Sunday morning as well as the Nearly New Sale at the Temple. Jeanne and Asher loved tennis, bridge, traveling and family get-togethers.
The family also wishes to acknowledge the dedication and service of the staff at Creekside, The Cottages at Wexner Heritage Village, and Zusman Hospice who so lovingly cared for her during her final years.
Graveside services were held Dec. 29, 2020, at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of the Temple Israel Funds.
