Dr. Irwin Pass, 90, passed away on May 16, 2023.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pauline Pass; infant son, Moses Pass; sister-in-law, Joanne Pass; and nephew, Craig Pass. Survived by his wife, Esther Pass; daughter, Jami (Dan) Cullen; son, Brian Pass; grandchildren, Arielle Cullen and Alexandra Cullen; great-grandson, Riley Joseph Lamden; brothers, Barry (Natalie) Pass and Michael Pass; and dear cousins and friends.
Irwin graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry and then served in the U.S. Army. After the army, he and Esther were married in 1957. Soon after, he opened his practice in Columbus. He was also an instructor at the OSU Optometry College. He never forgot his Buckeye roots and never missed going to an OSU home football game.
His greatest joys were his granddaughters and his great-grandson.
Funeral services were May 18 at Epstein Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery.
