Dr. Sherry Zox and Dr. Arnold Deutchman of Upper Arlington joyfully announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Emilee Meredith Zox Deutchman, to Commander Brian Blaschke, U.S. Navy, of San Antonio, Texas, on Nov. 20 at the Athletic Club of Columbus. Rabbi Gary Huber, rabbi emeritus of Congregation Beth Tikvah, will officiate.
Emilee is a graduate of Columbus School for Girls and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, and Master of Arts from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. She is a director at UBS Investment Bank in New York City in equity research. Emilee is the granddaughter of Dr. Maurice Zox and Mrs. Florence Zox of Bexley and Sarasota, Fla., and Dr. Herbert Deutchman and Mrs. Molly Deutchman of Akron.
The groom is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., and the Naval Postgraduate School. Commander Blaschke is a P-8A Poseidon pilot and is currently serving as the executive officer of Maritime Patrol Squadron VP-4, “The Mad Foxes” based at NAS Jacksonville. Commander Blaschke is the son of Mr. Dennis Blaschke and Mrs. Carol Blaschke of San Antonio, Texas.
The couple met while working in Jacksonville, Fla., and dated long distance for three years before getting engaged in Washington, D.C.
They plan to honeymoon in Kitzbuehel, Austria. They live in Florida.
