Author Fran Belkin will speak, in conversation with Alec Wightman, about her new book, “Rock This Town!” from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 at Gramercy Books in Bexley.

The book explains Belkin’s behind-the-scenes experiences with music stars. It gives an inside glimpse at concert production and promotion as Belkin worked alongside her husband, Jules, a pioneer in the rock and roll music industry, as Belkin Productions in Cleveland grew to become one of the largest regional concert promoters and one of the most influential in the nation.

Gramercy Books is at 2424 E. Main St.
