The city of Bexley and Bexley Public Library will host community active threat training from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at the library, 2411 E. Main St.

The free instruction will help understand what to do in an active shooter/active threat situation. It can help better recognize the signs of a potential violent threat and how to plan a response/escape accordingly.

Officers will also talk about what to do after a chaotic event and what to expect from first responders.
