Central Ohio’s new annual film festival, Cinema Columbus, previously scheduled for May has been rescheduled for July 23 to 26.

The festival will be put on by CAPA, in partnership with the Drexel Theatre in Bexley and Gateway Film Center, the Wexner Center for the Arts and Film Columbus, all in Columbus.

The festival aims to show new, diverse films from around the world, and include red-carpet events, filmmaker talks, educational opportunities and more, according to a news release.

The deadline for film submissions has been extended to May 22.

Submissions will be judged by a local panel of film experts, and films selected to participate in Cinema Columbus 2020 will be notified on or before May 31.
