Ohio State Bank, a locally-owned and operated commercial bank, opened at

2511 East Main St., in Bexley.

“Central Ohio is enjoying a surge in population growth and economic diversity, so this is an opportune time for a strong community bank,” said Dave Mallett, Ohio State Bank president/CEO, in a news release.

Ohio State Bank will service businesses and individuals. The bank is the first of its kind in the area since the First Bexley Bank was sold in 2014, according to the release.

Ohio State Bank will remain on East Main Street for one year and then move to an expanded location at the corner of Parkview Avenue and Main Street in Bexley. Plans are in the works to expand and open a banking facility in Upper Arlington within the next 18 to 24 months, according to the release.
