Congregation Tifereth Israel in Columbus announced July 22 Nancy Gurwin would be the new congregation executive director, taking the place of Laura Moskow Sigal who retired in June.

Gurwin, who will assume the role Aug. 18, is a past president of Tifereth Israel and a current board member.

“Nancy has already been a vital leader within the congregation in many ways, and we’re confident that this new role will introduce further opportunities for us all to benefit from that leadership,” congregation President Karl B. Rubin said an email sent to congregants.

Gurwin said in the email, “I am looking forward to my new position at Tifereth Israel and am excited to work with the congregants, staff and clergy on a daily basis.”
