Congregation Tifereth Israel in Columbus has hired Columbus native Paige Richards to be its new director of family life and learning, the congregation announced July 7.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Paige (Richards, nee) McKenzie, our New Director of Family Life and Learning, to the Tifereth Israel Family,” the announcement said. “After growing up here in Columbus, Paige graduated from The Ohio State University where she also received her masters in education. She joins us after spending four years teaching at the Columbus Torah Academy and is getting married this fall.”

In the same announcement, Richards introduced herself to the congregation.

“My name is Paige Richards and I am so excited to be the new Director of Family Life and Learning here at Congregation Tifereth Israel,” she said in the announcement. “I am eager to bring creativity, happiness and ruach to this program and I hope you’ll be partners with me in this new journey. As my first official act, I am happy to announce enrollment for this school year is open. We cannot wait to see your children and their smiling faces here this fall. If you have any questions or just want to introduce yourself and say hi, please feel free to email me at or call me at (614) 928-3289.”

Tifereth Israel’s Samuel M. Melton religious school begins Sept. 11.
