Justice, justice you shall pursue – Deuteronomy 16:18-21:9
Our sadness overwhelms us – we have lost Ruth Bader Ginsburg – a guardian of American democracy – a woman of strength and conviction – having the courage and wisdom – to ensure American citizens – equal opportunity – equal rights – gender equality –
challenging gender discrimination.
Graduating first in her classes – from Cornell University – and Columbia Law School – first female tenured professor at Columbia – appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 – by President Bill Clinton.
A diminutive woman demonstrating – the strength of her convictions – a loving caring Jewish woman – a daughter, a wife, a mother and bubby – a dedicated justice of the U.S. Supreme Court – protecting American citizens – ensuring equal protection of the law – during a turbulent time in American cities.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg was – a woman of justice – a rock of righteousness – a woman of valor – she will be missed.
