Sandra Lee Scheuer was my sister’s roommate. I sat next to Sandra in the seder before her death in my parent’s apartment in Toledo with my parents, along with my sister, my brother and my wife.

Normally, Sandra and my sister would take that path on the way to another building. That day, my sister decided to stay home and study. It is a day I can never forget (“Horrors of massacre recalled by those who were on campus,” May 1).
